Terms of Service

In effect from 1 September 2026. By using Lanternbox you agree to these terms.

Acceptance

These terms are a contract between you and Lanternbox Labs GmbH. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for what happens under your account. You must be 16 or older, or have a guardian's consent.

Acceptable use

Do not use Lanternbox to store or share unlawful material, to break others' rights, or to attack or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

Your files stay yours. You give us only the rights needed to store, encrypt, copy and return them to you. We claim no ownership and do not publish your content.

Billing and cancellation

Paid plans renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds are available within 14 days of a charge, as described on the pricing page.

Liability

We store your data across three regions, but no service is perfect. Keep at least one more copy of anything you cannot replace. Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.

Governing law

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Munich, where the law permits.
